Orbit is divided into three sections; the form, melodic motives, and rhythms of the first section are derived using the Fibonacci sequence. The second section includes a melody and an ostinato, both of which are derived from the Fibonacci sequence. The third section works as an overview of harmonies that have occurred throughout the other two sections. The entire piece can be viewed programmatically as an observation of a solar system while moving farther and farther away.
